Operation Care Package To Take Place In Bloomington

Waddell & Reed of Bloomington; Bloomington Family Readiness Group and Operation USO to hold event to support US Troops.

The Bloomington office of Waddell & Reed in cooperation with the Bloomington Family Readiness Group will be available on October 6, 2007, from 1pm-7pm, in the Bloomingfoods/Kmart parking lot at 3220 E. 3rd Street to accept donations for Care Packages prepared by the USO to send to our troops.

Each Care Package costs $25.00 to send overseas and consists of a variety of necessary items valued at $50.00-75.00!

"Waddell and Reed is celebrating 70 years in the financial services industry this year and we believe partnering with the United Services Organization (USO) of America is a unique way of reaching out to our community to salute the efforts of our troops overseas," said Walter Koon of the local office. "The Bloomington Family Readiness Group supports the families of deployed servicemen and their assistance has been invaluable in coordinating this event", Koon said. Janette Koon and Julie Higgins from the Bloomington Waddell & Reed office will also be assisting in this effort.

Plan to stop by and support the troops by contributing $25.00 for the cost of shipping the USO Care package. The Care Package(s) you help to send can be directed to Bloomington or Indiana servicemen.

OUR GOAL IS TO GET A PACKAGE TO EVERY 2-150 FA and 3-139 FA SOLDIER IN IRAQ OR GOING TO IRAQ.
